History:

David has lived in Las Vegas since 1976. He served in the United States Air Force right out of high school and returned home in 1986 after being stationed in Minot, North Dakota. David went on to spend 11 years in the beverage industry as a route driver and manager before becoming an end-dump owner/operator in 2001. He worked numerous housing, road, and business projects during the boom years in Las Vegas, contributing to projects like City Center, The Wynn, and the connector road to the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge. Concurrently, David steadily built a side business on woodworking projects. During these years, he created one-of-a-kind built-ins, handcrafted pens and boxes, and small pieces of furniture. He particularly enjoys projects created from reclaimed or salvaged wood. One of his favorite pieces is a Craftman style plant stand created from reclaimed wood rescued from a 1930s building on Charleston and Main Street that was damaged in a fire. He has a keen eye for detail that works to his advantage when he works on restoring vintage or antique pieces, one of his specialties. His ability to deconstruct, clean and reconstruct pieces has drawn a steady stream of projects to his shop. In 2015, David came to work at Everest as the Woodshop Manager, overseeing the daily activities of the busy woodshop.

Personal:

In his spare time, David enjoys getting out into the desert to explore, whether in a vehicle or on an ATV (his preferred mode). He is married to the love of his life Terrisa, one son Cameron, and a very smart border collie.
